WORDS

She wrote a million words
To show what's in her heart
But in the end had only four
To say that we should part

*********************************************

I stand by this ocean we once knew.
Forever pulsing hopes and desires.
Every wave too late to change.
Every moment lost behind the next,
drifting back to sea.
As water streams toward me
I step back from the fear of cold!
Another chance gone.
A lesson not yet learned.

*********************************************

As I stood at the dock against the steel rails
And watched her letters drift away,
A chill came over my soul.
Not from the cold winter night air,
Or the spray of the waves below,
Nor did the wind cause my eyes to tear,
But from the emptiness I felt.
Moonlit ripples appeared in the water,
Like her thoughts sent from where ever she was now.
Did she just call to me? Remember a moment?
Or finally forgotten me?
I imagined her next to me.
Her presence warming my heart as no other will.
Embracing me with “I love you” in every touch.
I closed my eyes and sent her my thoughts.
I am sorry my love – my love I am so sorry!
I will never try to forget you again!

*********************************************

Endless skies with drifting shapes high above the summer sun.
Chanting songs to lift you up and away from anyone.
She makes you see there’s so much more.

(She could teach you how to fly.)

All just waiting to adore.

In an everythingly way.
She lights the world in endless fantasy.
Anything you could ever be, will never be the same.
In an everythingly way.
She knows the words to stop all rainy days.
All she needs is a melody and life will be a game,
she got the whole world to play.

Journey through a dream and cross any river hand to hand.
Listening to the sounds and know only she could understand.
She makes you see there’s so much more.

(She could teach you how to climb).

All just waiting to adore.

In an everythingly way.
She lights the world in endless fantasy.
Anything you could ever be, will never be the same.
In an everythingly way.
She knows the words to stop all rainy days.
All she needs is a melody and life will be a game,
she got the whole world to play.

Magic spells were left behind and forgotten for a while.
Innocence was sure to fade as the world would know her smile.
They made her see there’s so much more.
(Never taught you how to cry).
All just waiting for that everythingly, everythingly day.
